I did mention something to this effect later on in the original reply :
I think these are plausible. I personally have assisted in a
procedure
involving a 13" Carrot (foreign body removal). What was remarkable
were the
tiny divots carved out of the (fat) end, presumably from
fingernails......
As cruel as it sounds, after the patient was put to sleep (it required
anesthesia to remove) we laughed our asses off the whole time, and made many
a' joke about it.
