I think you should take this as a compliment. If we
ask _reason_ to one party, and ignore the other, it's
because we think one side _can_ change.
It's obvious that Erik is having a lot of fun with
all this discussion. I can't blame him. I have got
fun from making other people very angry about things
that I qualify as stupid.
Face it: Erik won't drop this. Never. The only way
to shup him up is using the listowners' power to
ban him. Since there's no consensus among the
listowners [nor among the listmembers] about banning
him, then this option is out.
You don't want to drop this. Fine. This is your
right.
So, the only way to shut this discussion up is
for **you** to killfile him. Of course you can't
do it, because you are a listowner, and [irony!]
you must police his behaviour for violations of the
List Etiquette.
Do you propose any *real* solution to this problem?
BTW, AFAIK it's not Erik alone who is poking fun
on you about this discussion...
