But I'm not in a foreign country...

Farscape is filmed in Aussy but it's directly for the US. It's shown down
under after the US release right?

I was sent a video for a pilot of a British/US cop show.* Even for the US
parts a lot of the show was lost in the translation.

I watch a lot of TV, a lot of different type shows, but it's hard to get
into foreign shows. They always seem loud, over the top, too much flashy
editing. Will and Grace was a good show at first but it's too shrill now. I
don't even know what foreign shows may be on right now. I like the
Masterpiece Theater shows from England. Those two antique shows...one is
like a bargin hunt and Roadshow.

*The marketing co calls me and asks a bunch of questions about what TV I
watch, then asks if I'd view the pilot for feedback. Of course I said sure,
thinking my opinion would be good enough I could get paid to do this. Weeks
go by, no video. They keep calling and asking if I watched it, never the
same person. I finally get the tape, and haven't even opened the bag when
they call. I said I just got home, give me two hours and I'll watch the
tape. They NEVER called back.

The show: a rookie detective gets into a extacsy ring. They are making tons
of the stuff and it's high quality. His bosses are waiting for the
ringleaders to make the big bust. Finally the ringleaders are supposed to be
at the lab, the rookie calls the bust, all these cops get there and the lab
is completely gone. The bosses blame the rookie. The rookie had found some
links to England so he asks to go over there to try and make a bust. In the
airport his suitcase is stolen, ie gun, passport, money, credentials. The
scottland yard types consider him a joke. It gets weird from there. He gets
teamed up with a low level cop, they go to a sex party, he gets beat
up.....it was okay but very fast paced, and the music didn't fit at all.
Anyone want a copy?
