Um, where is the cooking or elderly British people in Red Dwarf? :)
We had BBC America on cable before we moved. (I have no clue if we have
it now, and I really don't have time for it this week, so I'm not even
going to check.) There's a fun decorating show there, can't remember
the name; there's a US version on some cable channel (TLC, maybe?) but I
like the British version better.
I grew up with Monty Python being on sometimes when I was small (8 and
under), and Masterpiece Theater was watched a lot by my parents. If I
ever have the time and access to the whole thing, I'd *really* love to
see all of "Upstairs, Downstairs". (It's a bit odd when you're 7, only
get to see the first few minutes most times, and haven't a clue about
some of the stuff going on....) Then again, my parents spent 2 1/2
years listening to BBC radio and developed an appreciation for British
entertainment from that, so I may be a biased sample on this whole
thing.
Oh, I like seeing films from other countries. If one of those gets
shown on HBO, how do you count the programming? (As far as films go, I
recommend "The Snapper" as a good one I don't recall having seen
mentioned here.)
