Somehow, I don't think it is going to be quite so easy to install a democratic government. Everything I have read leads me to believe that chances of this being possible in the short term are virtually nil. Basically anyone with any acceptable (to us) profile has been taken care of by Saddam. Ethnic and religious rivalries further complicate the situation. There was an interesting article discussing the problems the US (or anyone else) would face once Saddam has been overthrown. Warning: lonnnnggg article! http://www.theatlantic.com/issues/2002/11/fallows.htm Regards, Ray. _______________________________________________ http://www.mccmedia.com/mailman/listinfo/brin-l
