If this is an ongoing thing, buy one of those little USB Memory Keys. I
don't know how much they are there, but if you get a little one (say 32Mb)
they practically give them away here. (Most people buy 128Mb or 256Mb ones
here).
If either the school computer or home computer are running Win98, you may
have to do a quick download off the net to make the computer recognise the
key, but this is a once only action (until they re-image the computer of
course). If they're running Win2000 or WinXP it will just work straight off.
If the USB ports are only at the back, you might want a cable to attach
them (which most of the keys come with anyway).
Basically you end up with a floppy which is really small in size, really
big in capacity, really durable and reliable, and really fast (in other
words, nothing like a floppy at all...)
This is what we are doing at this school to get rid of floppy drives
(which account for an enormous proportion of our support calls)
