Were I an omnipotent omniscient omnibenevolent God, such translation errors are things that I would be sure were *not* made.> I imagine that the fact that Mary was mentioned inthis sentence might be interpreted as Jacob being _her_ father and not Joseph. You know, translation errors from Aramaic to Greek, etc.
But maybe he has a really weird sense of humor.
