Collinsworth doesn't bother me. The dingbat who was doing color on the AFC game was about worthless IMO, was that Esiason? The CBS coverage sucked as well mostly because their so stingy with the replays. Often times, after a good play or a controversial call we got to see some dumb graphic, a sideline coach yabbering into his microphone or the players on the field milling about smartly. Are they saving big bucks by not showing replays?1) The singer of "The Star Spangled Banner" for the AFC game was a lot better, IMO, than the one for the NFC game. (Who the heck is Jessica Simpson, anyway?)2) I hate having to listen to Cris Collinsworth. I'd rather that someone with that particular voice not talk quite as much as he does. 3) It's interesting spending almost 4 hours with a 20-month old while trying to pay attention to something else. It's interesting watching a conference championship game while going through all sorts of contortions to keep the remote that's being used away from said 20-month-old. It's beyond weird arguing with a T-rex puppet that it shouldn't eat Ed Hochuli. (Said T-rex puppet was really good at distracting the child when distraction was needed, though.)
I was surprised that TB did up so well against the Eagles. I have to say that Gruden has done a good job there. I was routing for the Raiders and got kind of worried towards the end of the half and again when the Titans scored in the second half. If they had been able to hold on to the ball....
I also thought that the officiating was more prominent than it should be. There were several calls on both sides of the ball that really didn't justify a flag IMO. Let 'em play.
