But they didn't.  You can what-if all day, and it doesn't change the
outcome of the game.

I think that may partly be due to the fact that the officiating team
wasn't working together all season.  (See earlier post on the topic for
fuller rant.)

Ed Hochuli did a pretty good job of explaining everything.  Then again,
that's something he's pretty good at anyway.  And on the shots where
they showed the officials consulting, it looked like he wanted to make
absolutely sure of what was seen from every angle before announcing the
call.  (I believe that in RL, Hochuli is a lawyer.)
