Heh.

I just wish that it were more dangerous for the protesters to block
traffic in *Austin*. I don't know how bad it's been this week, but last
week, there were several intersections (and for a number of hours, a
*bridge* across the river!) blocked.

I decided early last week that I would plan on *not* going downtown for
awhile, worried that the federal buildings, state buildings, etc. might be
targets. This week, I'm not planning on going downtown for awhile because
I don't know if I'll get stuck in traffic somewhere due to protesters
blocking off 2 of the 3 reasonable routes for me to get someplace. :P

(Maybe someone needs to point out just how much gasoline is being wasted
per minute, and how much air pollution is being produced per minute, every
time a street is blocked.)

Or just install cowcatchers on the front of a few large vehicles . . .

God bless America,
Land that I love!
Stand beside her, and guide her
Thru the night with a light from above.
From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans, white with foam
God bless America!
My home, sweet home.
