The U.S. at the time wanted nothing to do with Europe or the war. We sat by and watched as allies faced total defeat, only lending economic aid to help keep Britian from falling. It was the *least* we could do. After Pearl Harbor, we finally started contributing the level of effort we should have since 1939. As far as criticizing France, Canade, et. al., there is still the fact that they do not see the evidence presented so far as enough of a justification for the war going on now. Without the majority of the world behind the action, where does Bush get off meddling in another soverign country's internal governmental affairs?
