No birthday, here, but I just bought a digital camera also (to use for our baby's imminent arrival)... anyway, what'd ya get? > For the ultimate test, I installed Half-Life on my new pooter. I recently bought Unreal 2, and it was a massive disappointment. I you venture into multiplayer with half life, I recommend the Team Fortress Classic (TFC) mod. It's not realism-based liked Counterstrike is, but it's a blast to play. I was in a "clan" that played competitvely for a while (the "Warlords of Beer", lol), and it was a load of fun. I definitely prefer the team-based games over the deathmatch stuff for online play. > Last Sunday I paid the outstanding amount by telephone, so the money should > be in their bank account the next day. I think cable companies everywhere do this crap intentionally, to penalize the customers that (they think) don't pay on time. I've heard of a cable services here that screwed up people's billing, deactivated them, and then charged a reactivation fee for them to get it turned back on. > *Note: that's kilo*bits* per second, not kilo*bytes* per second... Ouch! Why is it so much slower? ADSL near me is very competitive with cable internet speeds, and often considered superior.
