How about trying not stating things as scientific fact if you're not
quite certain of them? Or if you are just bullshitting, then you could
clearly label it as "made up science" or something like that.

I didn't know there was a competition. I just hate to see nonsense
passed off as science, and I will almost always correct it when I see
it, and point it out to try to reduce its future occurrence.
