I didn't know there was a competition. I just hate to see nonsense passed off as science, and I will almost always correct it when I see it, and point it out to try to reduce its future occurrence.
A noble cause, but perhaps using a bit more tact and/or sensitivity while doing the correcting might accomplish the same goal without so many hard feelings?
