It's very hard, but it's a skill that I think pretty much everyone needs
to work on, even those who are good at not doing it.

There are also so many people, it's very hard to get to know enough
about everyone in-depth.  (And even then, you'll be surprised on
occasion by someone you thought you knew very well.)

I guess the real thing is to not let yourself de-humanize another human
being.
