Who claimed that?
No one that I saw.
All I ever said is that Texas has a different kind of history than
other states and its inclusion into the Union was handled differently,
and that Texans have a whole different take on the matter than
out-of-staters do.

The fact that Texans *do* feel special has not really been discussed.
