This weekend I watched my friend put his new two-seater ultralight into the air. While doing this we ate Oreo's and chocolate milk. Anneka walked for 8 consecutive steps! Then we ate hot dogs at the park.

Coming out of class Saturday I heard a bird call I knew wasn't native. Sure enough, when I reached the parking lot I saw a bird swoop down to the parking lot from a large live oak then fly back up. I recognized that it was an exotic, but not what kind. I waited a few minutes and the bird dropped back down to the lot. It was a mature cockatiel. I approached it and it hopped on my finger with little hesitation.
I've called the Humane Society and posted notices in the area I found the bird. The bird has obviously been loved and cared for by someone, I hope they get their pet back.
Also, my daughter had her wedding shower. I was thankfully excused. The wedding is < 3 weeks away!
