Yeah, well, she's at a stage where, if you put it within her reach,
there's a decent chance she'll grab it. Pat just happened to put that
finger within reach.
Now I'd just like to read about what Jack Fleming would do in a similar
situation. :) But the opportunities to have a finger grabbed by an
infant are fewer for a vampire in 1930s Chicago than a modern-day
non-vampire writer in Texas.
