I wouldn't be so certain about that last sentence John. I doubt that anyone has yet forgotten that Saddam tried to have the presidents Dad assasinated. There is also the sense that there was "unfinished business" WRT Iraq War 1. Then there are the accusations that going after Iraq was also a distraction to take attention away from the lack of a Bin Laden capture. I'm not trying to argue with your points, but just pointing out just a few things that are frequently stated to lay doubt on the presidents motives. I think this is Bush's biggest political liability. Circumstances leave *a lot* of room for doubt concerning his motives. (In that perhaps he values other things above patriotism and the good of his country.) Bush may be being maligned unfairly, but these circumstantial items make him look bad, regardless of the truth of the matters. > Winning this war motivates every decision with regards to terrorism > alerts and counter-intelligence that is made. There are even a lot of republicans talking trash about Bush. xponent Bookstore Perusals Maru rob _______________________________________________ http://www.mccmedia.com/mailman/listinfo/brin-l
