I still want someone to tell me what Iraq has to do with terrorism, Or 'had' to do with terrorism, as it may well have a lot to do with it in the future. I wish people would stop saying terrorism and Iraq in the same sentence, or else explain, with the addition of some evidence. If you go hunting in the woods, and you see something move in the distance, and someone calls out, "look, it's a bear", and you track it, slowly closing until, across a glade, you see it stands 7ft at the shoulders, and has two huge antlers, do you still call it a bear?. And when the head is hanging from the wall of your den, do you invite your friends in and show them your bear? No, of course you don't, cos it's a bloody great moose. Iraq does not equal terrorism. Saying it a lot doesn't make it so. Just cos you never hear one discussed without the other, does not mean they are the same thing, or as I said, at least they weren't once. Bush and his advisers have pulled a real fast one there, and everybody seems to have fallen for it. Its like going on about rising violence in your neighbourhood, and then going out and shooting your dog, and pointing to it and going "look, there is your proof". But I don't think I have a craven view of politics, just of politicians. Andrew _______________________________________________ http://www.mccmedia.com/mailman/listinfo/brin-l
