Well, sorry Doug, I guess that you are just going to have to live with my
conclusion that you are a hypocrite on this issue. Quite simply, I have
found your arguments that somehow Bush is a traitor working on behalf of
our enemies, whereas the Repubicans have unacceptably impugned the
patriotism of various Democrats to be utterly unconvincing.

>This is way beyond petty
>bickering about who is the most patriotic.

Indeed, it is a far, far, far, worse and far, far, far, more serious
charge. Indeed, it is a downright despicable allegation.

It is worth noting that the same bit of evidence that led you to charge
President Bush with treason did not even make the headlines on most major
news outlets today. There's still a couple of days left for this to
change - but right now you appear to be to be a big time outlier on this
issue. Worth considering while you toss the charge of "treason" around so
lightly.

Lastly, in regards to Saudi Arabia - I agree with you that Saudi Arabia is
a real problam. I think, however, that it would have been suicidal to
American interests to apply pressure to the Saudi regime so long as Saddam
Hussein remained in power. Quite simply, one Party is for the
transformation of the politics of the Middle East, the other Party is for
the status quo, or at best incremental change, in the Middle East.
