Am i going mad? That last email made me really question my sanity!

If they had half a brain they would take it at the side of the pitch where
you threw it out, 5 yards from your endzone, and from where they are pretty
likely to score. There is still skill and advantage in good pulling!

Extra advantage? They don't get to middle it anymore (if they don't want to
brick it all the way back near their zone) and will most likely have to play
off the downwind sideline. Sounds like a disadvantage to me!

Anyway - perhaps I'm so old the rules have changed and I'm entirely wrong.

Enjoyed the weekend very much, thanks Brighton that was a top notch Tour
event and all the other TDs should sit up and take notice!!

There have been numerous tourneys in scotland where it was impossible
(in the wind) to throw the disc as far as the opposing brick mark, so
under these rules you might as well just toss it out the side near your
endzone and then walk up to their brick mark. It does rather take the
skill out of pulling in [EMAIL PROTECTED] conditions.

You might find some very young junior teams will be best suited to just
chucking it out the side also, if they don't have big arms.

On the other hand, in [EMAIL PROTECTED] conditions, when the upwind pull never
goes
very far, that's just an extra advantage for the team going downwind,
and makes games even more likely to be won on the toss. So if we now
make them play from their brick mark at least a bit of ultimate will be
played.

So I reckon I'll reserve judgement until I've seen how they work out. We
can always change 'em back next year.
