A couple of observations, not counter arguments, just observations: This tournament does not have a Junior division. The Junior tournament(s) is/are being held separately, hopefully at a more suitable time for Juniors. The finals will be held over the weekend so there seems less of an issue for bringing junior spectators.
There are a number of financial issues with holding a tournament within the school holidays. Flights and accommodation are both more expensive, often significantly so. I don't know if either of these has had a bearing on recent scheduling but I can see that they might have done and the second will always, I would suggest, be a significant issue.
