That’s a very interesting choice of primitive to start with… :) 
Any reason you didn’t start with a simpler entity like ell/sph, tgc/rcc, or 
arb8/rpp?  Particle entities are compound objects, consisting of a right 
circular cylinder with hemisphere caps, all unioned together.   They’re a “pill 
shape” in some modeling packages.  We should rename at some point, “particle” 
is terribly misleading.

When you get to a functioning state, please clean things up and submit them as 
a proper patch against trunk that compiles correctly.  We eventually want you 
working directly on the repo.
