I made some minor changes and comments on your proposal. So you can get a
better understanding of what you need to do, and how to do it, you should
take a closer look at how IfcOpenShell works with OpenCasCade. You should
also take a close look at how BRL-CAD uses STEPcode. It would be helpful
for you to provide a description of how they work, and a description of
what changes you are proposing for BRL-CAD. The description could include
diagrams and related descriptive text.
