Ok I think there is just one more hurdle. I made the changes in /etc/default/brltty that John mentioned. I apt-got purged 5.3.1 and recompiled 5.6 as root. All went well, but when root tried to edit /lib/systemd/system/brltty.service it says no such file. locate brltty.service gives ten files, but root cannot see any of thm. so I cannot change the execstart line. so brltty does not start and I cannot login in braille. I can ssh in with the ipad and start it with brltty -n -e -bhm and then I have braille with brltty-5.6.
How do I change the attributes or whatever so I can change that execstart line? Below are the results of locate brltty.service: _______________________________________________ This message was sent via the BRLTTY mailing list.
