Indeed, the one in bug-gnulib archive and even the one I get by using the web access to my IMAP folder have the trailing newline. So it must be 'kmail' (my MUA) which removes the trailing newline. Apparently it does so only when processing signed emails... Sorry for having put the blame on your environment. It is in my environment. Bruno
