None.

  Solutions to such issues exist already.  The people at the other
end are responsible for their application.

 Sed is the simplest and an appropriate tool.

The changes are not caused by a classical bug, but are a revision, to
make better choices concerning speed, generality, usability, and
maintenance.

  I see no valid reason to make two or more tickets for such changes as
they are confined within a single (small) file, that does not interact with
other files (is labour-saving, economical).
