I've been nicely lurking here for a while, not being a programmer, I didn't
want to use list space.
I would point out to you that the "G" in Grub stands for Gnu which is a
co-operative effort of mostly unpaid people dedicated to creating free
software (whose source code is open -- are you church or chapel?).
So, what you might could do is learn Grub and then create a nicely page in
your personal web space and put a nicely HTML manual thereon. Please
use CSS and make certain that your document conforms to HTML 4 strict
standards.
Grub is not difficult to figure out, certainly for an advanced Linux user like
yourself (2.3.99-pre5 indeed!); even a klutz like moi-mme has managed
to install it onto my hard drives and even onto a floppy, simply by following
the instructions and typing "help" at the prompt.
Let us work nicely together towards a Lilo-free world.
(The info files should gunzip themselves if you've set your system up
nicely).
