Tested both samples on Evince and Acroread. The first one (default) shows the typical evince "overweight" barlines, while the second one looks good in both viewers. On Acroread 9 I can't see any difference between the two versions. Two questions: a) what is blotting? and b) should we take a user poll and see if we can we make the second version the default again?
