Actually I nearly wrote a couple of weeks ago when a clef did exactly this. I had a clef change in the Basso continuo line at a bar in which the first violins had a grace note at the start, and the new clef was placed after the barline instead of before - until I added the dummy grace note. My question is why, given that Lilypond already knows that my clef or the OP's breath mark go at the end of the current bar, having the grace note in another part breaks that logic; the grace note (or its absence) is in the next bar. Is this not precisely issue 34? Paul
