hi @michallenc , @ppisa , @gedare

My name is Mohamed Ayman, and I am an Engineering student specializing in
Embedded Systems. I am writing to express my strong interest in the "Controller
Area Network (CAN) Stack Improvements" project for Google Summer of Code.
Expanding the RTEMS CAN stack with new controllers and rigorous test suites
aligns perfectly with my C programming background and the practical
system-level experience I gained during my recent internships at Siemens and
STMicroelectronics.

**About Me:**

* **Embedded Systems Intern at Siemens:** I have direct, hands-on experience
with CAN bus systems. During my time at Siemens, I worked extensively on CAN
communication and the configuration of AUTOSAR COM stacks for automotive
systems.
* **Advanced System Programming Intern at STMicroelectronics:** I gained
practical experience with real-time performance tuning and kernel-level
debugging tools. I also utilized CI/CD tools to automate build and test
pipelines, which directly translates to the goal of implementing a more
rigorous test suite for the RTEMS CAN stack.
* **Automotive Team Lead:** I actively apply communication protocols in
real-world scenarios as the Automotive Embedded Team Leader for the Z Fast
Racing Team at Zagazig University.
* **C Programming & QEMU:** I am highly proficient in C programming and RTOS
concepts. I am also very comfortable working with simulated hardware, having
developed Linux images specifically for QEMU ARM platforms and implemented unit
testing to ensure system reliability.

I am currently reading through Michal Lenc's thesis to familiarize myself with
the architecture of the RTEMS CAN stack.

Since access to physical CAN hardware can be a constraint, could you please let
me know if there are specific QEMU models or initial unit testing tasks you
recommend I look into to demonstrate my understanding of the codebase?

Thank you for your time and guidance.

Best regards,

Mohamed Ayman
