Hello @bllgg,

this issue basically describes two possible goals (each supposed to be separate 
GSoC project). The first is the implementation of not yet supported CAN 
controllers as DCAN, Xilinx-CAN, FlexCAN and so on. In this case having a 
physical hardware for tests and demonstration is a must have to test the 
implementation can really work on it.

The other task is the improvement/creation of CAN stack tests and example/demos 
addition, where physical hardware is not that critical, though it can be an 
advantage because of demos testing on it.
