Should we just wait with the attempted port until this (see below) happens? Or do we want to try and actively remove the dependencies on ATL/MFC from the Hotspot code? Unfortunately, no, there is no way to get to ATL and/or MFC without buying VS Std/Pro/etc. (of course, you can get those through your MSDN subscription, etc.) For the future, though, the plan is to ship both ATL and MFC (x86, I believe) in VC++ Express at some point.
