So I assume it can be Astictopterus jama ( Forest Hopper ) and not Arnetta mercara ( Coorg Forest Hopper) which is endemic to Western Ghats.
The first statement of Kalesh - "Its Arnetta but not the WG spp." was really confusing. Basically its not Arnetta and he was just refering to Astictopterus jama ( Forest Hopper ). Correct me if I am wrong here. I assume there is no "Arnetta mercara" like species in North East which needs a scientific renaming, otherwise the tag of Arnetta mercara being endemic to western ghats has to go away. The wikipedia photo of Arnetta mercara is taken in Kolkata, so is that Astictopterus jama ( Forest Hopper ) ?
