Kristan, I understand and was once in your shoes when I first started. I know you said it is hard for you to go to activities such as a planed POTA event. But I encourage you to seek these gatherings because they are some of the best way to get answers to your questions and a little hands on experience so you too will become confident in your knowledge and ability. A few places to keep an eye out for upcoming local park activations are Houston POTA, Cross Roads Ham Radio Club, and Brazos Vally Amateur Radio Club.
