As a heads up, on April 5th, about 12pm, BVARC will have an HF hands on
orientation at the Bayland Community Center (after the license testing
session). We'll have at least one HF station available (SSB and/or CW) and
allow for a hands on experience to any who would like to attend. We're
especially focusing on the newly licensed, as an overview and an operating
opportunity. Food will be provided (right Scotty and Daphne?).

17 or 25ft whip, 40-10 EFHW or a DX commander.    All are portable  options.
If you attend the Houston POTA event odds are you will see examples of each
of these.

[BVARC] Choices, choices
Hi everyone,
I am still in the research mode for my first HF radio, and this shared
perspectives are helpful. Any thoughts or suggestions on an antenna for a home,
i.e. leave outside and can take down and move if needed?

We normal have one of each of these radios set up .    You are welcome to come
out and talk with the owner and make some contacts with each one.

If you had a choice of 3 hf radios, what would your pick be and why?
