One other idea -- maybe we can ask the parents to join the class on Internet safety? And/Or have a handout the student takes home, with topics they need to discuss with parent/guardian, and request a signature on the returned form to indicate said discussions took place? (or at least that the kid can forge a signature well?) Should we think about offering a class for the parents whose kids are in our class? In the parents class, we can go over the responsibilities of owning a computer, etc., as well as cover Internet access methods (dial-up, high-speed, etc.), and maybe address the ugly issue of getting DSL set up and configured? Just some ideas. Theresa
