Hey all,

I took home a basic machine (P-III 550 MHz, 256MB RAM, onboard i810
video, onboard sound, PCI NIC), and installed Ubuntu 7.10 "Gutsy" on it.
It's just finished installing/applying all the updates. I have not yet
reconfigured the xserver for the i810 video card (so the monitor looks
like an old 50s style television set, curved on the sides, and not
filling up the entire screen), because I had an idea.

I can use Robert's scripts to make an image of the filesystem; then I
can use some of the hard drives I have here (thanks to hubby, for
running the "shred" command on them), and make some cloned copies of an
Ubuntu install. We could then quickly make up several $99 machines for
sale.

So, before doing that, my question is, what, if anything, should I
install as regards flash (and which one, Mozilla's plugin, Macromedia's
version, gnash), codecs, media players, etc?

Theresa
