Are any other regular contributers starting to think they have generally
outlived their usefulness here?  The only new messages we get these
days are generally from people using an obsolete C compiler asking us
to do their homework.  Or if it's not homework, often the question is so
vague that it requires too much guesswork to answer without asking more
questions, often which the original poster will never answer.

Or at least that's my impression.

I suppose what I'm trying to say is that there is no satisfaction left
in contributing.

On the other hand it may just be that I'm frustrated with inane
questions.  I don't know about other people, but I'd rather have a
low-traffic mailing list with people asking questions intelligently,
than... what we seem to have now.

But perhaps there is no real solution to that.
