Everyone has different needs for network configuration. Even the static IP case has all kinds of information that the user may need to select or enter, such as interface, routes, netmask, dns, etc. As soon as you add one kind of network configuration, and unless you are very strict, you suddenly find all kinds of other configuration or bizarre networking setups being demanded. I also question the value of duplicating all of the work that has gone into many of the network setup tools and other configuration programs within the installer. Cheers, -- Shawn Walker
