First of all, let me be the first to reply that not only do you sound like a jerk, you are acting like a jerk. I'm a bit confused by your statement that they should be "willing to accept my criticism". Does this mean that because you donated a small sum of money you are suddenly the person who sets the timelines? Because they don't set some arbitrary deadline based on your own personal needs this means they are not accepting your criticism? This I don't understand. You're not a customer, you're an end user. This isn't a business and they owe you NOTHING except a thank you for a monetary donation to offset the costs of hosting the project. This idea that "the customer is always right" is the biggest piece of bullsh*t ever put out there. Yeah, it sucks that 1.2 isn't "officially" ready. That shouldn't be the reason to not use it.
