I like CI for the same reason as practically all CI users: excellent documentation. I have read a lot negative posts about cake's documentation. Since I'm new to the entire MVC thing, that concerns me. I have not read anything about a CI fork. One think I like about CakePHP, is that it seems to integrate with several popular PHP packages. For example: there is Drake to work with Drupal, Jake to work with Joomla, the new Mambo is going to be written with CakePHP, Cake also integrates with phpBB, and maybe others. I don't need that sort of integration right now, but I might later. Also, I don't think CI has native CRUD, you have to use a 3rd party package. Also, I don't think CI supports PHP5 at all - possible problem later on. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Cake PHP" group.
