Regarding responsibility: I added a correction to the article after
your comment, admitting that I was wrong, and that the callback
methods are not really new.

And with "well hidden" I pointed to the fact that you had to dig into
the source to figure out the interface for components until recently.
Sure, you can blame me for not noticing it in the change log or in the
source, but it doesn't make the component interface more explicit...

Did you read the respective article *and* the comments? The example I
used in the article is probably a bit misleading, but the article is
not about blaming others, it is about blaming yourself, hence the
title "What do I wrong that the other person fails?".
