I called this tonight at a dance. I taught it as the Right hand star being wrist grip and the Left hand star being hands across. By the end of the dance, everyone was doing two hands across stars. I haven't gotten to dance it, but the consensus on the floor was definitely hands across stars for both. Folks still liked the transition to a neighbor do-si-do, it just wasn't what I expected.
