The King was not happy about American advise he went again to Thailand to help him to get independence from French.Thai was afraid French to dead after world war ii it costed Thai 5 million ton of rice to pay to allied troops when Field Marshall Phibun Songkram colluded with Japanese.No state reception and no honor to greet king Sihanouk he was placed in Hotel Royal near Sanam Luong. When the war escalated American was looking to exit from Indo China in doing so the new plan was introduced.At home American is fed up with war they wanted American to bring back their soldiers home .South Vietnam and Lao are under American command but Cambodia has yet to be American allly despite king Sihanouk was ready to re-establish diplomatic tie and secretely given green light To American aire strike to bombard Vietcong base.The king had his mission to evict Vietcong from Cambodia he need help from Vietcong allies especially I Eastern Europe the group of Warsovie pact.The country of Camnodia was in economic crisis high unemployment no money no aide the notion of Cambodge aide lui mem did not work anymore. The new government was created and named Le governement de Sauvetage under Premiership of Lon Nol then Lon Nol had picked prince Sirimatak as his deputy the king did not say anything despite his odd with prince Sirimatak. In front of Royal palace a big rallly again demanding Vietcong must leave khmer territory at a mean time one khmer teacher had dissimated papers accusing king Sihanouk 23 counts selling land to Vietcong and other corruption issue he was severely beaten by mass Rally and later on he was awarded to rank captain in khmer Republic Army.The 18 Mars 1970 was the final day of king Sihanouk he was deposed and stripped from power the propaganda to attack his credibility was the beginning.Among students and urban people are supportive the move to topple the king but we forgot the majority of khmer people in the kingdom.Front page and headline news are announced worldwide.
