Hello Ron,
That's an interesting idea, but it would take a home made sandblaster that can
recirculate the alumina grit. It would take a massive amount of the grit if
you couldn't recirculate the grit. Even with the sandblaster at work it takes
awhile to get the proper finnish over the entire glass. With the sandblaster
at work it would be impossible to change over the blasting media. Maybe one of
our people on the list has one who can try it. I don't have an air compressor
yet, its a couple of years down the road.

I called a local lapidary supplier today to buy some grit, but the person I
need to talk to is out today. Does it take much of it to make a ground glass?
If its cheap enough I plan on buying enough for future use.
