Click and hold seems to work perfectly for me, wonder why it hasn't been checked in yet. Will look into it.
I like the removal of the backspace feature, now I don't go back when I accidentally hit the backspace key instead of the enter key. Better.
I'm not sure I like your popup icon, it's not very clear, but neither is the one we use now :) Oh well.
Oh and I'm not able to check all of the charset and asci stuff but I do hope it will be fixed in future nightly's. Do they work correctly? I will have a look. and please keep updating those language resources they will come in handy when we go 1.0
