I would like that download manager to behave like the older versions: just like a progress dialog which disappears by itself. I hate to do two actions for each download I do: 1. remove the download from the window, 2. close the window itself. When I don't remove the download first, I get a long (useless) list with previous downloads. And since the new downloads are added below, they run out of my screen fast, so I can't see their progress...
No more windows than strict nessesary! My screen already is that small...


I see no point in an inline history (everything is dropped on desktop, so I see what's downloaded), a perfect place for a download history would be in the tree on the left when one presses Command-B...

A weensy bit large, but with small toolbar icons only, or the toolbar hidden, and after clicking the size widget the window was small enough to suit me fine, although with the buttons in the toolbar, each entry could probably be scrunched a bit smaller.

I did notice some odd behaviors though.
