I like the new tabs. If the favicons are deemed problems, /they/ should go, not the close buttons.



But the favicons are the best way to tell which tab is which... the Firefox solution of using just ONE close icon which closes the current tab is a nice one, and leaves the tabs much less cluttered generally. (It is positioned at the right extreme of the row of tabs in Firefox; it would be much better at LEFT extreme, though, being more in line with the Mac OS interface.)
